Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information ipdnslookup processes, why it is used, and which third-party services may receive data.

1. Tool and Calculator Inputs

Values entered into tools are processed to return the requested result. Published IP location, timezone, and network lookups use licensed GeoLite databases stored with our application. Submitted IP addresses are not sent to MaxMind through a live lookup API. Reverse IP Lookup is an exception: its normalized public IP input is sent to Robtex and, when Robtex reports no domains, HackerTarget. A successful result may be cached for up to 24 hours. A domain input can also require a normal DNS query. Map panels load content from OpenStreetMap when valid coordinates are available. Calculator inputs are normally processed by our application.

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand page visits, device types, general usage patterns, and site performance. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies and may process information such as your IP address, browser, device, referring page, and interactions. Google handles this information under its own privacy terms.

3. Contact Messages

When you submit the Contact form, we store your name, email address, subject, message, submission time, and resolution status. We use this information to read and respond to your request. Do not include passwords, payment details, or other highly sensitive information.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The site may use essential cookies for security and session functions. Google Analytics may set analytics cookies. If advertising is added later, this policy and any required consent controls must be updated before advertising cookies are enabled.

5. Server Logs

Our hosting infrastructure may record standard logs such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, browser information, and response status. Logs help with security, reliability, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.

6. Third-Party Services

  • MaxMind GeoLite: Supplies periodically downloaded City and ASN reference databases. MaxMind does not receive each submitted lookup from our application.
  • OpenStreetMap: Provides embedded maps and may receive normal web request information when a map loads.
  • Robtex: Supplies Reverse IP Lookup observations and receives the public IP address submitted for that lookup.
  • HackerTarget: Supplies fallback Reverse IP Lookup observations when Robtex has no matching records and receives the normalized public IP address.
  • Google Analytics: Provides site measurement and usage reporting.
  • Hosting providers: Process requests and logs needed to deliver and protect the website.

7. Retention and Security

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, legal obligations, abuse prevention, or security. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children.

9. Your Choices

You can limit cookies through browser settings. You can avoid submitting a Contact form or sensitive lookup value. To ask about a stored contact message, use the Contact page.

10. Policy Changes

We may update this policy when site features, service providers, analytics, advertising, or legal requirements change. The updated date below will reflect a substantive policy revision.
